Moot Point. is a three-member rock band originating out of Philadelphia, PA. The members consist of Rob Chesnick on keyboards and vocals, Andrew Fagan on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Brian Cohen on drums. The band has been influenced by an array of musical styles ranging from rock, blues, and folk to jazz, ska, and hip-hop. Moot Point. has enjoyed playing gigs at area coffee shops, bars, and parties. Fans of their music have begun to request more and more new material, while still eager to hear such favorites as "Crazy Woman," "Pear," and "Jackie."
Rob Chesnick began playing the piano at the age of five. Rob has developed a passionate style on the keys - piano, electric keyboard, or his vintage Fender Rhodes. He has performed in a championship jazz band, district band, several solo performances, and at the Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rob's unique approach to song writing stems from his love of music, poetry, and journalism.
Andrew Fagan began playing piano when he was seven years old. Several years later he began to teach himself to play acoustic and electric guitar. Andrew is also a member of "Elroy" a Jazz/Funk/Blues band from Binghamton, NY. Elroy has performed on the University campus and at various clubs in Binghamton.
Brian Cohen provides a whole new dimension to the Moot Point. Experience. Formerly the drummer of the ska band "High Beam Blue", he has enjoyed regular gigs at JD's Tavern in Lansdale and Starbucks Cafe in Dresher. His rhythmic talents and appreciation for music have become essential to the band's styling.
The three members combine creative efforts when composing songs, drawing material from all aspects of life ranging from the philosophical to the absurd. They recently spent time in the studio recording some of their favorite original songs. Above all, Moot Point. brings to you a fun show, which will have everybody dancing and laughing and wondering what Moot Point. will come up with next.
